Some people were asking me how I accomplished this look, I use some of e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face) products, there are inexpensive and most are mineral based. JEWELRY BY BELLA LOLA

This look was very easy; it's a little pale that what I usually wear!

 

Foundation

With an elf mineral kabuki brush I applied the elf mineral blend lighter foundation.

Eyes

I filled in my eye brows with my gabriel mineral eye liner,

applied some elf mineral eye shadow (shade innocent) all over my top eye lids and below my brows and tear drop, then applied elf mineral eye shadow (shade girly) in my eye crease, blend it very good, applied elf mineral eye liner (shade black) lined the entire upper lid and did a bit of a cat eye at the end and finished it off with neutrogena mascara.

Blush

Applied the elf mineral blush (shade rose), I applied a little bit more than usual to make it pop since that's the look I was going for, like a pinkish rosy purple look... lol

Lips

Then on my lips I applied elf mineral lip liner (shade raisin), this is just to line your lips since it is not the color it will come out, lipstick will go over it, then I use the elf mineral moisturizer lip tint (shade blush) to protect my lips from the non mineral lipsticks, then I applied the elf essential lipstick (shade classy) and the elf studio matte lip color (tea rose)!

Finish

 With the kabuki brush I applied a translucent powder from avon, a lighter shade than my natural color all over my face to finish it off.

Winter Skin

What to do with dry skin in the winter season?

 

1. Moisturize – Your skin needs protection, with age our estrogen levels go down and our lines start to sneak in, a good moisturizer is very important to make a layer of protection from the harsh cold wind, central heating and low humidity.  If you have dry skin moisturize twice a day. 

 

1. Exfoliate – I exfoliate twice a week in the winter months, only with natural products; sugar, honey and a little bit of baking soda.  Sugar is great to get your dying skin off, honey to moisturize and baking soda for your ph balance. 

3. Hydrate – Drink at least 10 glasses of distilled or filtered water a day, this will make a big difference in your skin.   After I wash my face every morning and night I splash cold water in my face 12 times, this is a tip I read long time ago from a Hollywood actress and I don’t remember who it was but it works great.  

4. What to eat – Omega 3 rich foods such as walnuts, avocado, salmon and flax seeds.  Vitamin C rich foods such as kiwi, strawberries, papayas, oranges, bananas, tangerines, guava, broccoli, dark leafy greens and bell peppers (all colors). 

5. Feed your skin – Every other week I apply an avocado mask with a little bit of olive oil in my face for 25 minutes and the week in between an egg white mask, you really need this especially in the winter.  I will be talking more about these masks in another blog. 

Ideas & Tips:

Every morning I start my day with a fruit smoothie, usually a banana and 4 strawberries, mixed in with organic plain yogurt, orange juice and hemp.  Hemp has 13 amino acids and Omega 3, 6 and 9.  It is a great to start your day, to have great digestion and it works wonders for your skin.  If you have a good digestion daily your skin will glow.

 

The moisturizer I use daily in my face is Vitamin E Oil 5,000 IU 4oz from Jason Natural Products I have been using this product for about 5 years, I also apply it warm in my hair for a deep treatment once a week and every night to my eyelashes and nails to keep them strong. It is inexpensive and it lasts about 4 months.
